The EFB battery is the evolution of the AGM, but with a small part of “free” acid left just on the fibreglass.
This increases the capacity of the battery because of a higher presence of acid and the possibility of using the battery in an environment with a higher temperature (engine compartment). It also exhibits a high resistance to the cycles and the loss of acid is also limited compared to conventional batteries.
Technology molten grids of alloy Pb/Ca reduces significantly the formation of gas and self discharge slows. Positive plates are wrapped in the separator of envelope of polyethylene, which has inside the spongy separator (AGM), in order to prevent short circuits caused by the irregularity of the expanded grid.
The special airtight cover and the presence of the caps with VRLA valve offers maximum safety, in fact, not leaking battery acid.
